Descendant de Kâya maghan Cisse,
Est avant tout un artiste militant.
Il est à la fois auteur, compositeur, chanteur et interprète. Sa musique, aux influences marquées par Fêla, Burning Spear et Peter Tosh, témoigne de la
richesse culturelle africaine où tradition et modernité se côtoient sans se heurter.
C'est à travers une galerie de textes poétiques et pertinents que cet artiste fait passer son message et transmet sa vision de l'Afrique, il exprime
également sa révolte contre l'intolérance et l'individualisme latents.
À travers son atmosphère pluriethnique, son mélange de cultures, ses chansons sont une invitation au voyage, mais aussi un appel à une réflexion sur la paix

Son 1er album ‘’ Histoire Oubliée’’ 100 % WORLD REGGAE ROOTS made in Africa s’adresse à toute la jeunesse et rend hommage aux tirailleurs sénégalais, une
histoire quelquefois « oubliée ». Il appelle à une réflexion sur la paix et l'unité africaine, porte-parole d’une Afrique tournée vers un monde sans haine ni démagogie. L’album est très varié, un
morceau world reggae peut succéder un morceau style new AFRO ROOTS, Reggae Rock, African Dancehall, ou encore du funk, blues, jazz.
Enregistré entre le Sénégal et la France, avec la participation des talentueux musiciens traditionnels africains et français, on retrouve dans les 14 titres
de l’album des textes engagés et plein d’espoir, exprimés dans différentes langues : Soninké, Lingala, Wolof, Swahili, Bambara, Anglais, Français. Loin des clichés, "Histoire Oubliée" est un
album qui nous fait connaître et apprécier un reggae savant, mélange d’héritage Roots tout inspiré des années 70 et d’expressions musicales traditionnelles.
Après la sortie de son album ‘’Histoire Oubliée’’, plusieurs concerts en France et en Afrique et récemment une tournée au Canada, KAYAMANGA revient avec un
nouvel album Live ‘’ KANTA ‘’. 8 Titres enregistrés à l’Elysée Montmartre le 30 mai 2010 à Paris, en première partie du concert de Johnny Clarke & The Heptones organisé par Garance
Productions. L’album a été mixé et masterisé par John Forbes au Canada, personnalité reconnue dans le monde du Reggae Roots Jamaïcain.
En Juillet 2011, Kayamanga a également participé à la 20ème édition du GARANCE REGGAE FESTIVAL,

Senegalese soldiers during the both world wars, a long forgotten story.
He calls for a reflection on peace and African unity, KAYAMANGA is spokesman of Africa facing towards a world without hatred or demagogy. The album is
extremely varied, a world reggae tune following an AFRO ROOTS or a reggae rocker, African dancehall or also a funk blues.
The album “Histoire Oubliée” has been recorded from France to Senegal, with participation of talented traditional African and French musicians. The 14 tunes
present lyrics committed to a vision of hope in a variety of languages: Soninke, Lingala, Wolof, Swahili, Bambara, English and French.
